Máire Hoctor

Máire took the second of three seats in Tipperary North following the 2002 General Election with over 8,900 first preferences. She was the only new Fianna fáil Deputy on that occasion.

   Daughter of Christina and the late Michael Hoctor, both formerly of Lorrha.

   Sister of Margaret, Michelle and Ena.

   Education

  St. Mary's Convent Primary and Secondary Schools, Nenagh.

  Pontifical University, Maynooth (BA.Th HD.E)

   Occupation

  Full time public representative. Previously a secondary school teacher of religious education & Irish and   social studies at St. Joseph’s CBS Secondary School, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
